Exercise

Cadet Jade Williams from Bangor Detachment aged 15 and attends Tryfan School. Jade was getting ready to practice her patrolling ready for the night exercise. We hope that we can catch up with her when she returns from exercise.

NEW FRIENDS

Cadet Scott Bulock from Bethesda who is 13 years old and attends Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen, at camp he has enjoyed target shooting and learnt observation and communications. Luke Roberts age 13 from Llandudno and a pupil at John Bright School likes the cadet website, he enjoyed his day visit at the Napoleonic Fort.

SHOTGUN COACHING

Cadet Hollie Thomas from Llandudno who is 15 and attends Aberconwy School and has been in the cadets for 18 months, whith this being her first camp she said I like being in the cadets as I get to meet lots of like minded people. She is being coached by C/Sgt. L. Baker-Morris

SHOTGUN TRAINING

Cadet Callum Mason 14 from Prestatyn Detachment and attends Prestatyn High School has been in the cadets for one year. He said that he enjoyed the shotgun session today and is looking forward geting involved with all the other activities that will be available at camp.

THE SHORT AND THE TALL

Antony Smith previously a Rossett cadet now with the Officer Training Corps at Aberystwyth University, at 6ft 6in, he was escorted by Gwyndaff Hopkin aged 13 of Pwllheli Detachment, said he hopes to achieve great height.

GAINING CONFIDENCE

L/Cpl. Llywelyn Law aged 14 from Llanberis Detachment, and is a pupil at Ysgol Brynrefail Llanrug, likes meeting new friends, enjoyed the archery and is pleased that he was able to undertake the BTEc and is now looking forward to doing the DofE, he said that he is gaining lot of confidence being in the ACF.

IN THE MOAT

I caught up with two cadets who were enjoying themselves on the paintball section. Cadet Charlotie Mostert 15 and from Porthmadog Detachment which she has been a member for 4 months. This being my first camp and only the second day I wasn’t sure what to expect, but up to now I have really enjoyed myself. Charlotie who attends Ysgol Eifionydd at Porthmadog said she has a brother in the Royal Marines and her hobby is skateboarding. Her fellow cadet also on the paintballing was Megan Shone she is thirteen years old and attends the Brynteg Detachment and this is also her first camp, her brother Ryan is also at camp for the second time. Megan is looking forward to have a go on the quad bikes, but said the paintballing was OK.
