SWIMMING

Cadet Joe Cassell from Capel Curig Detachment is not camera shy, here he is again the following day trying to prove that he can do better in the diving than those in the Olympics. When asked he said ‘I’m enjoying today but the best so far is the exercise. Another group enjoying them selves are Thomas Morgan, Aeron Jones both of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Kieran Jones from Dolgellau, Jason Davies from Penygroes and Zak Heron of Barmouth.

All four have just returned from their night exercise and said it was a good exercise and would not mind doing it again or staying out for another couple of night, when asked if it would have rained would they still be as eager to be out, all said yes they do not mind. They enjoyed the patrolling but disappointed that they were not able to use blanks, they were happy to wait until next year when they would have qualified their star training. The OC said that the exercise went ok. The one stars faces totally lit up watching the Senior Cadet blank firing demo.

Cadet Ben Roberts who is 14 and from Amlwch and attends Thomas Jones School, Ben said that he has enjoyed all the activities he has done so far with the exercise being the best but was looking forward to do some adventure training.
